Stephanie went into labor on Friday, December 5th at 1:30 a.m.  Her contractions were regular at 10 minutes apart.  I woke up at 3:00 a.m. to learn the news.  Needless to say, I was excited!  This is it!  We stayed up to 4:00 a.m. and got up at 5:00 a.m.  We initially thought that contractions would become regular at 3-5 minute intervals, but they did not until 10:00 p.m. that night.  We went to the hospital at 11:00 p.m., and Steph’s contractions reverted to every 10 minutes.  To make a long story short, we did not get sent home, but got our room at about 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning, and Steph got her epidural at 4:00 a.m.  Aaron was born at 10:19 a.m., 7lbs, 8oz and 20 1/2 inches long.
