Happy Boxing Day!  This is all new to Aaron, and he's laying around trying to figure out what gifts to give.

House Project

We having been staying with Barb while our kitchen, family room, and bathroom undergoes remodeling.  It will probably be another 2-3 weeks before the project is done.  We are delighted with how things are coming together.  Countertop installation should be in the next week.  We are truly enjoying our stay with Barb, and she has been such a tremendous help with Aaron.

Defenseless Aaron was put into outlandish Christmas costumes after Barb helped prep him for his first Christmas!  

Aaron Landmarks

Aaron's important landmark for the week was the receipt of his social security card.  It was his first piece of mail.

Stephanie went into labor on Friday, December 5th at 1:30 a.m.  Her contractions were regular at 10 minutes apart.  I woke up at 3:00 a.m. to learn the news.  Needless to say, I was excited!  This is it!  We stayed up to 4:00 a.m. and got up at 5:00 a.m.  We initially thought that contractions would become regular at 3-5 minute intervals, but they did not until 10:00 p.m. that night.  We went to the hospital at 11:00 p.m., and Steph’s contractions reverted to every 10 minutes.  To make a long story short, we did not get sent home, but got our room at about 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning, and Steph got her epidural at 4:00 a.m.  Aaron was born at 10:19 a.m., 7lbs, 8oz and 20 1/2 inches long.
